Silvana Koch-Mehrin is the Founder of the Women Political Leaders (WPL), the worldwide network of Women Politicians. Silvana was a Member of the European Parliament from 2004-2014, and Vice-President (Deputy Speaker) of the European Parliament from 2009 to 2011. She holds numerous honorary positions, including “Woman of the Year 2000” in Germany, Member of the Advisory Board of the Council of Women World Leaders (CWWL), EU Representative to the Executive Board of W20, and Alumni of the Young Global Leaders Network of the World Economic Forum.
