Milojko Spajić was born in 1987 in Pljevlja, where he completed elementary school and high school.
As a Japanese government scholarship recipient under the Monbukagakusho program, he completed his first year of studies at Osaka University, and then graduated with a degree in Econometrics and Quantitative Economics from the Faculty of Economic Sciences at Saitama University through a regular four-year program. As part of an exchange, he also spent one semester at Tsinghua University, the top technical university in China.
He earned his master’s degree, also as a scholarship recipient, in France at HEC Paris, which is ranked by the Financial Times as the number one school in Europe for finance.
After completing his education, he worked in Tokyo and Singapore for global banking corporations Citi Bank and Goldman Sachs, and subsequently was a partner in a venture capital fund in Singapore.
He returned to Montenegro in 2020 to contribute to the country with his knowledge and experience. Besides Montenegrin, he speaks six other world languages. As a non-partisan figure, he was a member of the advisory team for the electoral list “For the Future of Montenegro” and the prime minister-designate Zdravko Krivokapić. He served as Minister of Finance and Social Welfare from December 2020 to April 2022.
