She was born in 1973 in Rize. She completed her high school education at Çamlıca High School and graduated University Faculty of Pharmacy in 1995. She completed her M.A. in Public Health at Indiana University in the USA in 2007. She is still continue her Ph.D. at the University of Health Sciences in Ankara.
Mrs. Tuba DURGUT worked as a Project consultant for various international health institutions from 2009 to present, as a consultant to the Ministry of Heath (2010-2014) and as a consultant to the Ministry of Family and Social Services
(2014-2018). Throughout her career, she has worked in areas such as violence against women, women and family health, tobacco control, obesity prevention and led social campaigns which has had an impact across the country. She was a
member of the Green Crescent Management Board and a member of the Women Democracy Association (KADEM) Social Awareness Commission. She led various campaigns for raising awareness on violence against women.
She was elected as Member of Parliament of AK Party of İstanbul in the Parliamentary elections in 2018 and 2023 corresponds the 27th and 28th legislative terms of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye. She served as a member of Turkish Delegation to Asian Parliamentary Assembly, Vice Chair of the Committee on Health, Family, Labor And Social Affairs. In the 2023 Parliamentary elections, she was re-elected as Member of Parliament and Member of Turkish Delegation to the PAM and member of the Committee on Environment.
She was deemed worthy of the “31 May World No Tobacco Day” European Region Award given to successful individuals and organizations in the field of “tobacco control” by the World Health Organization in 2021.
She has an excellent command of English and is married with two children.
